i was wondering... if i get a cheap blank skateboard deck and just buy some longboard trucks to put on the skateboard deck...cause isn't the the trucks that really make the ride smooth and long? so what do you guys think? will it still ride like a longboard? i know it wont feel like it but i

What length longboard skateboard should I get my son?

My son is 12 and wants a longboard skateboard for Christmas. I know he wants a Sector 9. He is 4'10" and about 88lbs. Very athletic and an intermediate skateboarder, but new to longboarding. Any advice?

this is the board i would sugest to any one allthough it is a little pricey.

but if you're sticking with sector 9, go with a bamboo board about 40 inches in length.
