SnowBoard Size?
Jan 24, 2008 by TokoMoko | Posted in Snowboarding
I want to get a snowboard because I've tried snowboarding last weekend and I love it. Last weekend it was my first time and I got good at it because I skateboard, wave board, and wake board. I also went on Double Diamond in Bear Mountain. Now I want a board really badly. Im 13, about 4'5, and small, and skinny, and I dont think I hit growspurt yet.
get one that comes up to your collar bone when you stand it up. if you have big feet you will need a wider style board so that your feet dont drag in the snow and cause you to fall. generally you go between your collar bone and your chin, and if you like to go really fast you go for a longer board. good luck my friend! Peace!

Is it better to get a bigger or smaller size snowboard than your actual size?
Dec 10, 2007 by Charlie | Posted in Snowboarding
If you had to get a snowboard one size bigger or one size smaller than your actual size, which would be better?
For example i am 158cm snowboard size. Would it be better to go for 157cm or 159cm if i couldn't get 158cm. Also i am a beginner.
Thanks
i dont know how old you are but its generally better for beginners to get a longer board and this way you can grow a a bit too while being able to keep your original board. Shorter boards are better for tricks but you shouldn't have much problems with that at first

you will grow out of a 157 faster than a 159...lol and longer is better...plus you will find out 1 cm doesnt make a difference much

Firstly make sure you know what is your optimum size, http://www.snowandrock.com/buying_guide_ boards.htm is a fantastic, quick guide. Secondly, how good are you. If you are pretty advanced, you may be surprised how much better you perform on a longer board. Beginners should stick to shorter boards because they are more forgiving and easier to turn

Get a board that goes up to your chin. stand it on end and see. Since your a begginer try going maybe a little shorter

What size of snowboard boot will I need if I have a mens size 13 show?
Nov 18, 2008 by Nick F | Posted in Snowboarding
I am a 6'2'', 230 lb. male with a mens size 13 shoe.
What size boot do you think would fit me comforably? Also, any recommendations on snowboard size as well?
I have decided to try out snowboarding this season, so any help would be appreciated.
Size 13 boot. You need to get a wide board.
